Proposed small-group philosophy in practice
CIRCLES-00 / NOT OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT
Temple Circles are a proposed next-stage format for people to test ideas through shared reading, fictional situations, reflection, dissent, and appeal. No Circle is operating or enrolling through this site.
Why meet at all
A Circle would move philosophy out of private certainty and into a bounded encounter with other interpretations, lived consequences, and the possibility of correction.
Begin from material whose edition, authorship, classification, and limits are visible to everyone.
Test an idea through a fictional case, structured reflection, or practical exercise rather than rewarding clever summaries.
A participant can challenge the text, facilitator, interpretation, process, or group without losing standing merely for dissenting.
A facilitator cannot be the only authority on a complaint involving their own judgment or conduct.
Before enrollment can open
Participation terms, confidentiality limits, consent, exit, protected refusal, and prohibited conduct must be explicit.
Selection, training, supervision, conflicts, complaints, and removal must be public enough to challenge. Facilitation confers no hidden status.
Any interest form needs a stated purpose, fields, retention period, access boundary, deletion route, and responsible contact.
Current boundary
This page claims no active cohort, membership body, campus, retreat, accreditation, curriculum, events calendar, or physical Temple. Circles are not required to play the game or pursue anything within it.
